None of These Things Move Me Series Part IV: Fearless in the Face of the Unknown
Acts 20:22-2
We’ve learned how to lock solid in faith, choose purpose over popularity, and have the courage to finish our course. Now, we close this series with something powerful—being fearless in the face of the unknown. Because let’s be honest: life will always bring uncertainty. You don’t know what tomorrow holds. But you do know Who holds tomorrow! Paul’s Resolve in the Unknown When Paul said, “I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there,” he was acknowledging uncertainty—but without fear.

He wasn’t naïve. He knew trials awaited. Yet he went anyway. Why? Because his calling was greater than his comfort.

Paul teaches us that the absence of clarity

doesn’t mean the absence of God. Sometimes God won’t show you the full path—He’ll just show you the next step. Faith means moving forward anyway.

Modern Illustration – The Entrepreneur’s Leap

Think about entrepreneurs who step out on faith to start something new—a business, a ministry, or a dream—without knowing how it will turn out. They plan, they pray, but still they walk into the unknown.

Maybe that’s you. You’ve launched something that doesn’t make sense to everyone else. People question your timing, your courage, your sanity. But you keep going because God said “Go.”

That’s the same spirit Paul had: obedience over outcome.

Historic Illustration – Harriet Tubman’s Faith

Harriet Tubman didn’t have GPS, maps, or backup plans. She had God. Each time she led enslaved people to freedom, she faced danger—dark woods, dogs, bounty hunters, and betrayal.

But she once said, “I always told God, I’m going to hold steady to You, and You’ve got to see me through.”

That’s fearless faith in the face of the unknown. That’s what it looks like when the internal (your faith) dictates the external (your fear).

Application – When the World Shakes, Stand Still in God.

Family, life may shake you—but don’t let it move you. Economies fall, politics shift, health changes, relationships break, but the Kingdom of God never trembles.

You can’t control the storm, but you can control your anchor. Fearless doesn’t mean you feel no fear—it means you move forward in spite of it.

God’s call doesn’t guarantee clarity—it guarantees companionship. He said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

So when uncertainty comes, remind yourself: “The external doesn’t dictate the internal. My peace comes from the inside out.”

Personal Reflection

Some of you are facing unknowns right now—health challenges, financial transitions, family concerns, or just not knowing what’s next.

God says: “Keep walking.” You don’t have to see the full staircase; just take the next step.

Faith isn’t found in knowing the way—it’s found in trusting the Guide.

So family, as we wrap up this series—hear Paul’s words one last time: “None of these things move me.”

Closing

Not fear. Not doubt. Not uncertainty.
We’ve locked solid in faith, chosen purpose over popularity, gained courage to finish our course—and now, we walk fearlessly into the unknown.

Remember: what’s ahead may surprise you, but it will never surprise God.
