None of These Things Move Me Part I: Lock in Solid in Faith
Scripture: Acts 20:22-24
Introduction
“Good morning, family! It’s your sister Dorothy, coming to you with a word straight from the
Word of God. Today, we’re starting a very special series called: ‘None of These Things Move
Me.’ And I tell you, in a world filled with uncertainty—uncertain jobs, uncertain finances,
uncertain family situations, even uncertain leadership in our country—this word is for you.
I don’t know what tomorrow holds for me, for you, or for our families. I don’t know what storms
are just around the corner. But I know WHO holds tomorrow. I know WHO holds me. And like
Paul said in Acts 20:22-24: ‘None of these things move me.’ Today, we’re going to talk about
locking solid in your faith—standing firm when the waves are crashing, the winds are blowing,
and the world is shaking. Are you ready?”

1. Paul’s Example
- Paul knew danger, persecution, and trials were ahead—but he didn’t flinch. He
declared, “None of these things move me.” That’s not just courage—that’s faith
locked solid in God. - Family, Paul’s eyes were on the purpose, not the problem. And that’s the lesson
for us today.
2. Modern Illustration
- Think of our healthcare workers during the pandemic. Fear everywhere—but they
didn’t let it move them. They continued their mission to save lives. Why?
Because they were committed to a higher purpose.
3. Historic Illustration
- Harriet Tubman, risking her life time and time again on the Underground
Railroad. She couldn’t see the outcome of each journey, but she trusted God’s
guidance step by step. None of the dangers moved her.
4. Application for Today
- Your faith must be your anchor. Your circumstances cannot dictate your joy, your
peace, or your purpose. Lock your eyes on Jesus, and let nothing move you.
“Family, when fear comes knocking, when uncertainty is whispering lies in your ear—remember
Paul. Remember Harriet Tubman. Remember that your faith in God can hold you steady. Lock
solid in your faith. Declare it: ‘None of these things move me.’
Next time, we’re going to talk about trusting God above all else—because that’s when miracles
happen and fear loses its grip. Stay with me, and let’s keep standing together in faith!”
